Yvonne Valerie Franzen, born May 25, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. She attended grade school at the St. Paul of the Cross in Park Ridge, Illinois. She was wed on September 26, 1958 to Melvin H. Franzen, whom loved her deeper every day of their devoted 57 year marriage. She was an exceptional mother of three, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of three. During her brilliant life, she excelled as an equestrian harness racer, swimmer, and ice skater while also showcasing her modeling talents. Traveling was an admiration of hers, and as the wife of an Air Force Pilot, she often found herself touring across Europe and the United States. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Franzen, son Michael Franzen, and daughters Lynn Blair and Lisa Nikolich. A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Franzen will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 861 Maitland Avenue, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701; 407-831-1212.
