William J Lieber, 86, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on July 27, 1938 in Louisville, KY to William and Josephine (Mueller) Lieber. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Marilyn (Menges) Lieber; his children, Bob (Marlene) Lieber, Michael (Rommy) Lieber, Cynthia Pevehouse, Diana (Jim) DeFreitas, Jan Giallourakis, Dean (Lisa) Durbin, and Dawn (Gary) Stidham; sisters, Martha Robinson and Mary Ann (Brian)Toner; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He owned and operated Bill Lieber's Auto Body Shop in St. Petersburg for many years. After he retired, he enjoyed working at Publix and greeting all the customers. Bill was a Past Exalted Ruler of St Petersburg Elks Lodge #1224. A celebration of life will be held at the lodge on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 11:00 am.
