William Raymond Krones was born on May 31, 2016. He was welcomed by his parents, Mike and Sarah Krones, his sister, Jane, and his brothers, Teddy and Sam, as well as a wonderful community of friends and family. Even before his birth, William was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and we knew that he would need special care. Due to complications discovered in his first surgery, William spent his entire life in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He was given excellent care by the wonderful staff there. He spent his days being held, cuddled, loved, played with, and sung to by his parents, siblings, family, and friends. He had a special love for the balloons that he played with and his undersea music box and mobile. William was baptized at Arnold Palmer Hospital when he was two days old and even though he never attended church, he was very much a part of his communities of faith. William received an overwhelming amount of love and support from so many different groups of people. We know that he was loved and cared for. William passed away on October 21, 2016. The end of his life is both unexpected and devastating, but through it we celebrate his resurrection and new life in Christ.
If desired, donations may be made in William's name to the Baby Basics Program at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church This programs helps infants by providing diapers to families in need.
"But for them it was only the beginning of the real story. All their life in this world . . . had only been the cover and the title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read: which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before." "The term is over: the holidays have begun. The dream is ended: this is the morning."
-C. S. Lewis, The Last Battle
