William Paul Fergerson Jr. "Scott" passed in peace at home Thursday, October 27, 2017 after a courageous yearlong battle with esophageal cancer.
Scott was born November 4, 1957 in Nashville, Tennessee to his loving parents, the late William P. Fergerson, Sr. and Anna Fergerson. He was predeceased by his beloved sister Kathleen Fergerson.
Scott graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Engineering in 1979 and was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers. Right out of college, Scott was hired by the American Cast Iron Pipe Company where he worked for 38 years with dedication and passion. He established many working relationships with colleagues he considered good friends.
He enjoyed NASCAR and the Formula One races or wherever you could hear the "roar" of an engine. The way he loved his Porsche was a testimony to that.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his completely devoted and loving wife, Susan and his beautiful daughter Elizabeth.
There were many family members that loved him including his stepchildren, Sheelah Doyle, Jason Banner, and Shane Banner and four grandchildren as well as many cousins.
Scott exemplified great faith, loyalty to family and hard work. He will be missed so very much.
