William Edwin "Ed" Smoak, 77 of Pinellas Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved January 14, 2025. He was born on March 27, 1947 in St. Petersburg, FL to Claude Edwin Smoak and Beatrice Hower. Ed is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandi Smoak; nieces, Stefanie Wilkerson, Cynthia Baldree; nephew, Gregory Kobin and great niece, Ashley Wilkerson. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Claudette Kobin. Ed served two enlistments in the Unites States Army. He was the President of the Corvette club for numerous years and was a member of the Motorcycle and Sunshine Fins dive club. Ed was a Mason at Lodge 139 and a member of the Scottish Rite, Knights Templar, Egypt Temple Shrine and Royal Order of Scotland. He owned and operated B's Pawn & Jewelry shop for over 32 years. Ed enjoyed skeet shooting, scuba diving, fishing, playing the banjo, bagpipe performances and parades with the Highlanders and St. Andrews Pipes and Drums. A Visitation will be held 10:00am-11:00am, with an 11:00am service, Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 3530 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, Fl 37710. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5750 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, Fl 33709.
