Dell was survived by his father, William Burks, spouse Margaret, Step sister Natalie. His mother, Cynthia, spouse Sal Gallegos, sister, Chona, brother in law Parish Tanner and their children, Ethan, Skylar and Alice, step sister Tracy, brother in law, Sly Brito and their children Natalia and Gabriel, along with loving Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Let us not forget his beloved Dog Murphy, and psychotic cat Magic.
He left a 17 year legacy at Full Sail University. The world has lost a gentle soul today our beloved Dell. He was our soft-spoken, giving and kind hearted son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. He pushed himself hard to succeed in his career and in his relationships. Dell had such a big heart. He couldn't say no to people in need, even when it was hurtful to him. His generous nature left a trail of friends and loves me better by his presence in their lives. He was sympathetic and empathetic. Thoughtful and kind. Still always try to present a positive attitude. He had an unexpected sense of humor and could turn a frustrating experience into his side splitting story, all the while keeping a straight face.
Dell was there when you needed him, he could help you move, chauffeur you to a special birthday celebration, teach you how to use a slot machine, play cribbage with Gigi, be your tech-support guy, and so much more.
He was patient. He was stubborn. He could be unshakable in his believes. And he could spend hours talking about it. Don't go there.
He was adventurous and curious. From DJing, Jui Jitsu And boxing, to coffee with butter he was willing to try anything like having a different car every other month.
Dell loved family. He was on a quest to find that elusive soulmate and make a family of his own.
Dell, we are blessed that you have been part of our lives. You are in printed into our being. Nothing can take that away. You are free now and in that we take comfort.
