William B. "Bill" McCoy, age 73 of Apopka, FL died on Sunday, January 12, 2020 in Orlando, FL. Bill was born in Marianna, FL to Lewis and Marie Carlisle. He was later adopted by his grandparents, Amos and Nina Mae McCoy. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Jamie McCoy; his granddaughters, Katie, Megan, and Abigail; his brother, James McCoy, and other family members too numerous to list.

Bill was a kind and generous soul who would do anything for anyone. He regularly put others ahead of himself. Wherever Bill went, he would make a friend.

Bill's wish was to be cremated and his ashes spread along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The family will plan a gathering in the near future to celebrate his life.
