William (Bill) Hayes Barnes, 67, of Orlando, went to his heavenly home on Friday February 10, 2017. He was born on November 8, 1949, in Orlando, Florida. Bill had a big heart; he was a friend to all and he knew no strangers. He was devoted to his family and was a successful businessman. He was a co-owner/operator of the former Barnes Drapery & Floor Covering Inc. (1952-2016). Bill had many interests. He was up before dawn riding his bike, watching the sun rise and waiting for the paper boy. Before breakfast he was feeding the birds and talking to neighbors. Bill loved working in the yard, the warmth of the sun and all of God's creation. He enjoyed history, reading, movies, music, genealogy, sports and the Old West. The Gators and the Bucs lost a dedicated fan. His infectious smile and sentimental soul will be missed by many. He is survived by his wife, Linda Barnes, three children, William (Lee) Barnes, Patricia and Jennifer Lee, his sisters, Joan Kavanaugh and Margaret (Peggy) Sims, his brother, Robert (Bobby) Barnes, and his 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle, Ryan, Joshua, Michael, Ommysara and Rosalinda.
The Memorial Service will be at 3:00pm on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 9001 N. Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL. 32751.
