Obituary

Wilhelmina Grace Longboat passed away January 4, 2016 at St. Anthony�s Hospital in St. Petersburg. Wilhelmina �Minnie� Shadlich was born in New York City Sept 3, 1921. Survived the Great Depression in 1939, she married her first love and dedicated husband of 68 years William Longboat Sr., together they had 4 children, William Jr., Theresa, Charles, and Robert. Minnie encouraged and supported William in establishing �The Original Suffolk Builders�, while she cared for psychiatric patients at Kings Park Psychiatric Hospital in Long Island, NY. They retired to St. Petersburg in 1968, where Minnie continued her life of ministry caring, praying and giving worth to anyone she came in contact. She is survived by her loving sons William and Robert; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and her brother, Emil Shadlich. She will be dearly missed by all. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, Jan 7 from 1-3pm and 5-8pm where a rosary will be conducted at 7pm and prayer service at 7:15pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Jan 8 at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle ( Our Lady�s Chapel) at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens
