Walter B.Ruta, 82 of St. Petersburg passed away July 4, 2016 at home with his loving family at his side. An Army veteran of Korea, he retired from United Parcel Service after 35 years. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, American Legion and the Isla Del Sol Men�s Club Association. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Janet; he is the loving father of Walter Ruta, Jr. and his wife, Amy; Diane Liptak and her husband, Paul; Patricia Scott and her husband, Kevin; Ken Ruta and his wife, Mary Kaye; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, July 7 from 5-7 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 8 at 10 A.M. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church 1600-54th Ave. So., St. Petersburg. Interment will be later at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
