Walter Potchad, age 92, passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

He was born on January 21, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents and his younger sister, Frances Protuty.

After serving in the Naval Air Corps in WWII, Walter embarked upon a career with several airlines. At first, he was an aircraft mechanic for TWA and then became an instructor to share his expertise. Thirty-five years later, he retired from TransAmerica Airlines as Vice-President of Maintenance. An airline career is filled with many exciting travel opportunities. His wife, Wilma, and his three kids were thankful for their time overseas and they appreciated the expansion of their world view.

Walter's love of music began as a teen when he became the forth member of a band. His instrument of choice was the banjo, but he easily picked up the piano and accordion! .
