Obituary

Walter John Marino, 53, passed away on October 28, 2016 at home in Winter Park, Florida. He was born on October 31, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York to Gaetano W. and Rosa J. Marino.
Walt grew up in Levittown, Long Island, New York. He graduated from Lake Howell High School in Winter Park, Florida in 1980. After high school he attended University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida where he received a Bachelor's degree, Accounting with a minor in Computer Science; and an MBA. He obtained a CPA license and worked many years in the finance and accounting field.
Walt was a member of the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, spending time with his children, watching movies, music and photography.
Walt was a loving and devoted father, son, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all.
Walt is survived by his mother, Rosa Marino; children, Angela Marino and Christopher Marino; sister, Linda Richter and her husband, Jeff Richter; nieces, Julia Richter and Alicia Richter; nephew, Grant Richter; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in the United States and Costa Rica. Walt was preceded in death by his father, Gaetano Marino.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory, 9001 N Orlando Avenue, Maitland, Florida. A mass and funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 113 Lockwood Boulevard, Oviedo, Florida.
Walt was supportive of families and children with autism. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the University of Central Florida Center for Autism and Related Disabilities online at: www.pals-ucfcard.org/donations , insert "Walter Marino Memorial" for apartment number.
