Obituary

Mehaffey (Pleiter), Virginia Lee Ruth "Ginny", passed away peacefully on 1/8/2015. Spending her last days with her children at her side. She was born 02/20/1931 to Bernadine Henrietta Pleiter (Nolte) and George Bernard Pleiter. She graduated from Dayton HS, Dayton Oh in 1949 and attended Kentucky Teachers College, where she was a member of the Latin Club, Tri Hi Y Club, Chorus, Library Club , Office Force and the Annual Staff Club .She was a Dale Carnegie Graduate, along with her husband and they shared a love and desire to help others. She had a colorful working carrier, as a business owner and sales professional. She managed various business and offices throughout her working years, but her most beloved job was that of Wife, Mother and Grandmother. On 9/10/1955 she married the love of her life , Claude ("Gus" "Bill")Wilgus Mehaffey and they will celebrate 60 wonderful years of marriage together in Heaven this September, as he proceeded her in 2013.

She leaves behind her most beloved first born; Marla (John) L Bruhn, Dickinson, ND; Twins, Jana L Bridges, Fort Pierce, FL; and Dana (Scott) L Clark, Orlando, FL; precious grandchildren; Matthew, Bennett, Autumn, Steven, Michael and Morgan, her favorite Niece Arvada Davis and family and her faithful companion dog Chevy.

Mrs. Mehaffey was a fun, loving, hard working woman whose strength and determination overcame many obstacles. She had a wonderful sense of humor and wasn't afraid to laugh at the most serious matters to lighten the mood. She was "everyone's Mom" she opened her heart and her home to all of her children's friends. She helped planned neighbor outings when her girls were younger and was active in, PTA, Brownies and Camp Fires Girls Clubs.

She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
