Violet Odahlia Lambert, 99 years old of Apopka Florida, beloved mother, and grandmother, laid to rest on May 8th 2020. Survivors are Daughter; Beatrice Davis-Johnson and Son-in-law Edward Johnson of ApopkA, FL, two grandchildren, Richard/Evelyn Bynum of Springfield VA, and Jennifer M Cade of Milton, GA., four great grandchildren, Joseph, Alejandro, Sophia and Shaun, one sister Elizabeth Crutcher of Nashville TN., and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceded in her death are her husband, John W. Lambert, Mother Tennie and Father William Hobart Brown, two brothers, Hobart II and Joseph, and sister, Johnnie Jones. She spent over fifty years of her adult life in Detroit, MI after spending her youth In Murfreesboro, TN. Violet was a retired nurse of over thirty years from Hutzel Hospital in Detroit MI. She was a devoted member of New Prospect Missionary Church in Detroit, MI, a Past Worthy Matron and Lifetime member of Redeemerette Chapter #54 of the Eastern Star, Prince Hall Affiliated of Detroit MI! She was devoted to her family and her chapter and spent most of her retired life traveling to visit with her family. Her love for her family, faith in God and selfishness was unmeasurable. She will be truly missed by everyone she touched in her lifetime. She has her wings now and is singing and dancing with family and friends in Heaven. Please believe..........! Due to the current pandemic, a graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Detroit at a later time! In lieu of flowers, the family humbly request that donations be made in Violet' s memory to either Dementia Society of America, https:///www.dementiasociety.org or Alzheimer's Association for a possible cure for these horrific conditions! The DeGusipe Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements.
