Violet Crews, 96, died peacefully at her residence on December 13, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Clara and Harry Wachsmann and is the widow of Andrew M. Crews. After residing in Macon, GA for 19 years, the Crews� retired to Florida in 1972. During her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters and an infant son, Timothy R. Crews. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Daw of St. Petersburg, FL, her son, Bobby (Faye) Crews of Macon, GA, her grandchildren, Ricky (Dawn) Moore of Beverly Hills, FL, Stephanie Lauster of Largo, FL, Mark Crews of Macon, GA, Ylice Crews of Macon, GA and her great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Bobby Lauster, Chelsea and Kendall Moore and Kael Crews and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at Seminole United Methodist Church, 5400 Seminole Blvd, Seminole, FL on Saturday, December 28 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Suite 300, Clearwater, Florida 33760.
