Obituary

Viola passed away quietly on July 29 after 90 years of a life filled with beauty, happiness and love.

She was born in Ohio, where she was raised and educated. Her intelligence, work ethic, business acumen and electric personality were recognized quickly and, following graduation, she worked as an executive assistant in the office of the CEO of Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. She had begun taking business classes at Akron University when she met the man who would become her husband for 66 years, Tony, a veteran.

They were married in 1949 and had begun to settle in Akron when Tony was called back into service for the Korean War, after which he decided to remain in the Marine Corps. They lived in Washington, DC for several years before moving in 1955 to Orlando where they would settle.
In 1970, she and Tony founded Landmark Realty, which they jointly ran for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Central Florida Realtors Association for 35 years.
She and Tony relocated to Winter Park in 1971 and resided there until her passing. A life-long devout Roman Catholic, she was a parishioner of Saint Margaret Mary Church of Winter Park for nearly 35 years.

Throughout their lives, she and her husband enjoyed travelling throughout the western US and visited nearly all of the great national parks of the American West. She was especially fond of the deserts of southeast Utah and the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Viola is survived by her husband, Tony, of Winter Park, two sons, Gary of Denver, CO, and Tony, of Las Vegas, NV, and Gary's wife, Rebecca. She also had five grandchildren and a great granddaughter. She is also is survived by one sister, Sara, of Scottsdale, AZ.
