Obituary

Trovato Jr., Vincent C., 69, of Henniker, NH, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016.
He was born in Patterson, NJ, November 18, 1946, and moved to Florida in 1972.
Vince is survived by his wife, Christine, two step sons, Justin Douglas, Weare, NH and Christopher Douglas, Henniker, NH; two step daughters, Devon Smith, South Hadley, MA and Lyn Higgins, Highlands, NC; a niece, Tracy Trovato and her sons of Newton, NJ and five grandchildren, Erika, FL, Allison and Amelie, MA, Renea and Christopher, NH and two great grandchildren, Arysa and Ryder, FL.
Vince joined the newly formed Rotary Club of Seminole Lake and made a huge impact on the Clubs success by being given the accolade of being named Rotarian of the Year three times in 15 years.
He and his first wife, Jeanne, owned Seminole Optical in Seminole Mall.
Vince was very involved in the management of the Seminole Mall Merchants Association, the Greater Seminole Area Chamber of Commerce as President, and served as President of the Rotary Club.
As the Seminole Mall began to wane, Seminole Optical was closed, and the optical store moved to St. Petersburg.
Vince, at the age of 50, applied to the Police Academy and competed with 20 year olds. After graduating from the academy, he was hired by the Pinellas County Sheriff as a deputy. After the death of Jeanne, Vince moved from a road deputy to be a bailiff for the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. Vince retired from the Sheriff Dept. on February 14, 2014. He met his wife Chris while he was the local policing officer and she worked for the City of Seminole 13 years ago. They moved to Henniker, NH, in January 2015.
Vince loved to spend time with their dogs Marcello and Mercedes. Nothing brought more joy to Vince than to love animals and to take care of everyone around him. He donated much of his time and money to help those in need.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. at R. Lee Williams and Son Funeral Home.
