Veronica "Roni" Swetnicki passed away peacefully, at home, in Winter Garden, FL on October 29, 2024. She was born in New York City, NY on August 14, 1932, to the late William and Anna Cody.

Roni loved life. Playing MahJong with the ladies in her community was a passion. She stayed very active, going to Ladies Lunch once a month and Book Club and volunteered at Give Kids the World when she was a bit younger.

Roni loved her family. She was our matriarch, strong and loving. She was married to the love of her life, the late Al, for 68 years. She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Severino and her husband Ron of Groveland, FL and Lynn Harris (the late Bill) of Winter Garden, FL. She was blessed to dote on her three grandsons, RJ Severino of CA, Brian Severino of St. Louis, MO and Alex Severino and his wife Mackenzie, of Washington, MO. One of her greatest joys was being able to meet and be with her great-grandson, Henry Severino of Washington, MO. She could not wait each day to see if new photos or videos of Henry had been sent to her electronic frame – she was GG to Henry.

Roni loved her friends and she had many. Lifelong friends from New Jersey, the Irish American Club and neighbors in Maitland, FL. When she moved to Vista Del Lago in Winter Garden, FL she participated in as many activities as possible and met many wonderful people in the community.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 1400 Matthew Paris Blvd, Ocoee, FL 34761.
