Utpalendu Bhattacharya, 85, passed away sadly on Sunday, October 9, 2022.

He was a distinguished Civil Engineer and leader at the US Army Corps of Engineers for many years. He was known for his singing and story-telling and was a great friend to all he met.

He is survived by his wife, Sandhya Bhattacharya, daughter, Jayati Jenkins, son-in-law, Michael Jenkins, son, Abhijit Bhattacharya, daughter-in-law Monica Bhattacharya, granddaughter, Maya Roberts, grandson-in-law, Jason Roberts, granddaughter, Malika Jenkins, granddaughter, Sreya Bhattacharya, great-granddaughter, Arya Roberts, a large extended family in India, and many friends.

He was a beloved member of the greater Orlando Bengali community and previously, the Bengali Association of Greater Chicago. He will be missed by all.
