Obituary

To all who knew her and for those who didn't, one thing for sure, you would notice the smile.

Usha Singh Strouse left her body on November 5th at 12:14pm. An always positive spirit, lover of life, people, family, music, the beach and of course, her precious dogs. Her spirit will endure in all the lives she touched. Usha was born on May 23, 1968 in Rhode Island with the disease, Harlequins Ichthyosis. This rare skin disease has a dire prognosis and most patients don't survive childhood which makes her a true miracle. Despite her setbacks, she was a wonderful singer and lover of music who graduated from Winter Park High School. Usha lived an extraordinary life while on this earth. With the spirit of a warrior, she went on to attend Valencia Community College, then to UCF where she completed her undergraduate and masters degree in Hospital Administration. She was fluent in 4 languages (French, Spanish, Hindi, English) and spread joy in any room she entered. Over the years, she held many senior positions in her career rising to Vice President of Avant Healthcare, Cirrus Staffing and culminating with a successful launch of her own consulting company, US Healthcare Associates (USHA, LLC). While she is gone from us, her soul lives on in music and the company of her family and friends. Usha will continue her role of guardian angel forever placing her hand on our shoulder while guiding us through the journey of life in anticipation of being reunited. Right now, she's petting her late dog, Buddy , and listening to Pink and love songs. We celebrate her life gathering together in each other's company as she loved the company of people.

She is survived by her loving sister and best friend, Asha Singh Khan, brother Omprakash Tom Singh, Sister-in-law Jessica Singh , parents Dr. Rama and Amrita Singh, her 2 children (dogs - Sadie and Cookie ) and husband of 26 years, Dale Strouse. Other family members she left behind are her 3 nieces Sonya Khan, Parveen Khan, Ava Singh and her two nephews, Omar Khan and Neel Singh.
