Tyra Lynette (Knox) Vales, age 55, of Fairchance, PA, passed away on December 27, 2025, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 28, 1970, in Uniontown, PA.

Tyra was the daughter of Twila (Walton) Knox and Sylvester Knox, Sr. She was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School in Fayette County, PA.

Tyra was known for being a loving, fun, and kind-hearted person who always kept God first. She enjoyed cutting up, gambling, singing, spending time with loved ones, and much more.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Sylvester L. Knox, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Tom and Sue Knox; and maternal grandparents, Carl and Martha Walton.
She leaves behind her husband, Willie Vales; daughter, Ny'Rree Brown; mother, Twila (Walton) Knox; sister, Jennifer (Knox) Bloom; nephew and niece, Kayden and Kyah Bloom; stepchildren and grandchildren.

She also leaves behind bonus sisters and brothers: Alanda Jones, Andrea (Maurice) Rouse, Laquita Fletcher, Juanita Brown, Stacey Evans, and Torrie Wilson.

Friends and family will be received in the DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory, 65 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, PA, Stacey A. Dolfi, FD on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Interment is private.
