Truleia Rene' Wilder, age 57, beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother, passed away at Novant Health Prince William Medical Center in Manassas, Virginia, on Sunday, December 28, 2014.
Born on December 2, 1957, in Eustis, Florida, to Allen Wilder and Ruthie Felder, Truleia was always lively and determined. As an infant, she was christened to the late Reverend James and Dorothy Brazel. Truleia attended Eustis High School and graduated in 1975. Shortly thereafter, she married young and raised four children: Russell Fuller, Tauris Fuller, Roderic Fuller and Truleia "Sissy" Fuller. An avid teacher and devoted mother, she pushed her children to strive for greatness, never settling for mediocrity. Several years later, she was blessed with the opportunity to welcome into the world --and spoil -- her only grandchild, Malik Fuller.
Truleia, affectionately known among different circles as Trudy, Tea, and Tru, lived in a few places, yet touched the lives of many. Those who knew her were constantly showered with laughter during the good times, heartfelt prayers during the bad, and honest advice during the time in between. Truleia ultimately settled in Manassas Park, Virginia, where she joined Yeshua Church of God in Christ and dedicated her final days to serving God. On July 20, 2014, she was baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, under the tutelage of Pastor Tony Campbell.
Truleia will be especially remembered for her relentless faith in God, vibrant personality and flair, award-winning chocolate chip cookies, and unparalleled love for her children.
Memories of Truleia will live on through her father, mother, children, grandson, grandmother, Godson, and Godsiblings as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. She is predeceased by and will reunite with her brothers, Allen "Skip" Wilder, Jr. and Daniel Bailey II.
On Friday, January 9, 2015, a wake/visitation will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory, 1400 Matthew Pines Boulevard, Ocoee, Florida, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m for family and friends.
On Saturday, January 10, 2015, services will be held in the sanctuary at First United Methodist Church of Tavares located at 600 West Ianthe Street, Tavares, Florida. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. and a celebration of Truleia's life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Immediately thereafter, the burial procession will commence, coming to a resolution at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Eustis, Florida. Family and friends are welcome to return to First United Methodist Church of Tavares (UM Activity Center) for a repast from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
As this is a celebration of Truleia's life, service attendees are encouraged to wear accents of gold and/or cream.
