Trudy M. (Brooklyn) Jimenez, age 64, of Sorrento, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 9th, 2021. Trudy was born on September 28th, 1956 in Sanford, Florida, the daughter of Ted and Jean Brooklyn.
She is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband Jack Leroy Jimenez; her daughter Stephanie Marie Jimenez; son Ted Andrew (Jennifer) Jimenez; siblings Sue McIntosh, Timmy (Lesia) Brooklyn, Pam (Frankie) Griffin, Teddi (David) Dovan
and her eleven grand puppies.
Mom and Dad met as kids and started dating as young teenagers. They married right after mom graduated high school in 1975. They settled in Lake Mary, Florida, where she enjoyed being a home maker for her 2 children and husband for 18 years. She went back to work when we were older, which allowed her to meet many wonderful friends.
Our family was the center of her life. Any reason to spend time with family and friends; whether it was beach trips, vacations, playing cards & game nights, shopping & more shopping, pool parties, BBQ's and family dinners, picnics in the pasture and holidays especially Christmas, mom loved it all. She was a devoted sister, aunt, wife, mother and friend who loved everyone dearly. Everyone that met mom seemed to love her. She had a playful, sparkling, sense about her that will be missed by all.
There is no doubt she was a strong fighter who gained strength from her family and faith in God. Because of moms faith, we have peace in knowing we will see her again in Heaven. What a day that will be!
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church of Lake Mary. There will be a reception until 2pm at the home of Kaydee and Cameron in Sorrento. Address to be announced at the Memorial Service.
The family of Trudy invites you to leave a message of condolence on the Tribute Wall created in her memory.
