"BIg Timmy" Timothy Hunt, born Dec. 1, 1965 in NE Minneapolis, left the confines of his body on June 16, 2014. He is celebrated by his wife of 25 years, Pammi and his greatest accomplishments, son Zachary and daughter Elizabeth, along with the children of his heart Sara Wilke (Zachary), Adam Coleman (Elizabeth), and Tim Duffy,
He is also survived by his mother PaulineHunt, 6 brothers and sisters plus nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, too numerous to list. Additionally, his brothers by choice, JR Hyten, John Rehnault, Larry Surrett and Everett Sesler. Timmy held a special place in his heart for his godchildren Serenity and Benjamin.
Rarely are we blessed in life to know a man of Timmys character and unwavering devotion. We are all richer for having him in our lives and now a little poorer for having lost him.
Whether in the gym, in his military uniform or in competition you had a true champion in your midst. He never failed to offer his advice, assistance or support, and in turn anyone who ever met Timmy could never forget him.
He proudly served 25 years in the Army for our country, and was devout to his service. Additionally, Timmy was honored to be a Shriner as well as a Mason. He was very proud of his Pro Wrestling career, competing in strong man events and at the age of 40 was playing semi- pro football with men half his age. His participation in life was as vivacious and full throttle as his smile.
Timmy felt very strongly that he wanted his life celebrated and not mourned, almost an impossible task for those who loved him, but one his family will honor with pride.
Carry him in your hearts and memories and Timmy will never truly be gone.
We wish to offer a special thank you to the Wounded Warrior Project which we believe gave Timmy some of the most joy he ever had. We believe we had the last few years with Tim because of the support and strength he obtained from the people who spend every day caring for and helping our nations heroes. The friendships he made and the experiences he had sustained him. Timmy wore their logo daily with pride.
We simply cannot ignore the wounded, in our midst, visible or not Timmy isn't a statistic, he was the strongest man we know, a warrior in every sense of the word. Even the strongest warrior has to heal, and ours is doing it now.
Family are those in your life who love you unconditionally, who take joy in your presence and will be your greatest strength when you are weak. Timmy never defined family by blood, but with his heart, which was larger than he was.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Timmys name to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Veterans organization of your choice.
Services will be held for Tim 2:00 PM Friday, June 20,2014 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Altamont Springs, FL. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka, FL. He will be buried next to his chosen Dad, Tony Nicklow.
