Timothy William Brady, 65, dearly beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, died on August 6 at his home in Casselberry, Florida of bladder cancer.
Tim was born on May 7, 1959, in Montclair, New Jersey. He grew up in Warrington, Pennsylvania and attended Central Bucks West High School in Doylestown. He was quite the athlete and played baseball, basketball, and football for the Warrington Athletic Association and then for the high school. He moved to Winter Park, Florida with his family when he was in his senior year of high school and graduated from Winter Park High School.
He happily retired a few years ago from his wall covering business after a long and successful career in which he excelled. He was one of a handful of hotel artisans who would fly around the country, visiting dozens of major cities, to work on their specialized conference room air walls. He was a master of his craft.
Tim will be remembered for many things but most of all, his humor. He had the sharp, lightning quick wit that caught you unawares, and made you laugh out loud or at least smirk along with him. He was proud of his sense of humor, and rightly so, but not as proud as he was of his daughter, Shaylyn. Tim had a gruff exterior but a sentimental and tender side, which was never more present than when Shaylyn was around, or when he was talking about her.
Tim greatly enjoyed playing golf, was a voracious reader of all genres, was an avid Miami Dolphins fan, and was a very good cook. He worked in restaurant kitchens in his 20s and he had skills. Every year for the holidays, Tim would bring his specialty, creamed onions, and it wasn't Thanksgiving or Christmas without the creamed onions, and without Tim's steadfast presence.
In addition to his daughter, and her wife, Claudia of Everett, Washington, Tim leaves behind his mother, Maureen, of Winter Park; siblings Sheila (Ted) of Rosendale, NY; Ann (Rick) of New Smyrna Beach; Robin of Silver Spring, MD; Paul, and Molly of Gainesville; his niece Summer, nephews Janakai, Max, and Aleks; and grand-niece, Aurora; cousins; and many good friends. He was predeceased by his father, Richard, son, Brandon, and sister Maura.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 25 at 11am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Winter Park, with reception following.
