Obituary

Thomas James Weiss, age 65, passed away on July 9, 2022 in Winter Park, Florida. Born in
Baltimore, Maryland on October 10, 1956, Tom was the youngest of Charles and Margaret
Weiss's four sons. The family moved to Orlando, Florida when he was a toddler. He attended
St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School and Church where he was an altar boy. At Bishop Moore
High School, he was a proud member of the wrestling team. He received his bachelor's degree
from the University of Central Florida.

Tom had a passion for fitness and became a personal trainer. His compassion, charisma, and
wicked sense of humor endeared him to his clients, many of whom trained with him for decades. In 1992, he met the love of his life, Joy Neuman. They shared a happy life with many beloved dogs and cats.

Tom loved learning and had many interests and talents. He was an excellent craftsman at
woodworking; he learned this skill from his father and cherished the time they spent together.
He crafted beautiful wood pieces for his home, the gym, and many friends, and was a master at
fixing things broken by his wife and father-in-law. As an avid cyclist, Tom was a devoted fan of
the Tour de France. He was a poet who exposed his soul in his writing. He was especially
pleased with the poem he wrote about his father which was published last Father's Day at the
parish of Monsignor Bob, his brother. Tom shared his love with all who knew him, and they will
continue to honor his legacy by living life to the fullest.

In addition to his loving wife, Joy Weiss, Tom is survived by his brothers, Charles (Cathy)
Weiss, Monsignor Robert Weiss, and Jon Weiss; his father-in-law Frank Neuman; many nieces
and nephews; and his fur babies, Shelby and Lucy.
