Thomas Edwin Shetler of Oviedo, FL, born March 8, 1946 in Akron, Ohio, died October 8, 2016. Tom spent most of his young life in Miami FL and attended Miami Palmetto High School.

He married Susan on June 29, 1974, settled in Oviedo, FL, and his family grew to include 2 children and eventually 5 grandchildren.

If you were to ask, Tom would tell you most of his favorite memories are centered around fishing, family and enjoying nature.

Tom loved to cook for his family and friends. He also loved deep sea and intracoastal fishing with his wife Susan and her best friend Lea, his brother Dick, buddies Cal and Tony, and his son Thomas.

Other favorite memories would include delivering newspapers with his younger brother Dick in Miami and enjoying many campouts off the Econ River with his kids.

Tom is survived by his devoted wife Susan and daughter Dawn (Steve), grandchildren Gabriella and Alexander, son Thomas Leon (Stacey) grandchildren Matthew, Allison, and Thomas Angel. He is also survived by his brother Dick (Charlene) niece Teresa (Doug) grandniece/nephew Astacia and Austin, nephew Chuck and grandnephew Corey as well as brother in-law Don Durdy.

Tom was greatly loved by his family and will be forever missed. A private service will be held October 29th from 3-5pm at the First United Methodist Church of Oviedo at 263 King St, Oviedo, FL 32765.
