Thomas B. Nangle, of Winter Park, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on July 26, 2016. He was born on June 4, 1935 in Arlington, Mass. to Patrick and Beatrice Nangle. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army as a radio repairman. After his service, he married Ellen (Reardon) in 1963 and they raised three children in their hometown of Cambridge, Mass. Tom enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on Torsey Lake in Mount Vernon, Maine. He remained a lifelong Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. Tom and Ellen retired to Winter Park, Fl in 2001.
He is survived by his devouted wife of 53 years Ellen (Reardon). He was loving father to Gary Nangle and his wife Joanne, of Lowell, Ma.; Sharon Anselmo of Winter Park, Fl; and Jennifer Blankenship and her husband James, of Austin, Tx. Tom leaves behind his grandchildren, Shannon Serpilli and her husband Giulio, Margaret and Luke Blankenship, and Hannah, John, and Patrick Nangle, and one great grandson, Luca Serpilli. Tom is survived by his sister, Sister Mary Rita (Norrien) Nangle of Baltimore, Md and brother-in-law Raymond Morse of Belmont, Ma. He is survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Beatrice Nangle, and sister Patricia Matheson and her husband Donald Matheson, and sister Evelyn Morse.
A mass of remembrance will be celebrated at 10:00 on Friday, August 5th, 2016 in the chapel at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church at 536 N. Park Ave in Winter Park, Fl. Family and friends are invited to a reception in the Cana Room at St Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Internment will be at 3:00 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetary at 5525 US-1 North in Mims, Fl.
