Thomas Eugene Murphy was born on March 15, 1951 and passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on September 10, 2016. He was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Paul Murphy and Ann Buckley. Thomas will be remembered as a devoted family man, loyal friend and person who gave more than he ever wished to receive.

Thomas' professional career started at the Ford Motor Company in Detroit, Michigan. He spent the majority of his career leading the sales organizations at Pepsi-Cola and at Coca-Cola. His titles spanned from Financial Planner, Sales Manager, and Area Vice President. With each promotion came an opportunity for the Murphy family to move across the world and travel internationally. As a seasoned sales leader and business planner, he chose to start his own company, Emerald Springs Water Company in partnership with his brother Marty Murphy. This small business venture was a realization of his long term dream and brought him and his family to Longwood, Florida.

Thomas is survived by his wife of forty years, Patti, four children Tom Murphy, Jr., Amy George (James), Loren Nallu (Kishore) and Katie Murphy, and grandchildren Kevin George, Travis George and Priya Nallu. He is also survived by five siblings: Michael Murphy, Paul Murphy, Ann Hough, Marty Murphy and Maureen Gibilisco.
