Thomas J. "Turtle" Moyer age 86 of Winter Park, FL, formerly of Harrisburg, PA beloved husband of 63 years to the late Barbara S. Moyer, passed away August 11, 2022.

Thomas was born April 30, 1936, to the late Clarence and Mildred Moyer. In addition to his late wife Barbara, Thomas is survived by his sons Thomas A. (Amy) Moyer of Winter Park, FL, Michael (Karen Mendes) Moyer of Brooklyn, NY, Scott (Patty) Moyer of Myrtle Beach SC ; and 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Thomas was predeceased by his son Timothy J. Moyer, sister Arabella Bartley of Bellefonte, PA  brothers William Moyer and Carl "Pete" Moyer of Harrisburg, PA.

Thomas was an active member of the Winter Park Elks #1830 and served on several committees within the lodge.  He was known as "Turtle" to many of his friends and family.  Turtle was the head coach and manager of the former Harrisburg Her-icaines softball team from Harrisburg, PA.  He was also a well know drummer in the Harrisburg, PA area and was former member of the dance band called "The Counts" which played regularly in Harrisburg back in the 70's and 80's.  He loved watching college football and was an avid Penn State Nittany Lions fan.  Thomas always liked having a good time and liked to party with family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held September 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Winter Park Elks Lodge #1830, 4755 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, FL 32792. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association Society.
