Thomas George Maillis, 92 of Orlando, Florida passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016. Mr. Maillis was born in Brooksville, Florida on November 9, 1923 to George and Irene "Svinou" Maillis. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Janice Maillis. He is survived by daughters Kay Nesbitt of Atlanta and Renoula McCormick of Maitland; son George Maillis of Orlando; six grandchildren, Julie, Kellie, Tommy, William, Janice and Christopher; seven great grandchildren, George "G", Hailey, Tyler, Brennen, Layla, Taylor, and Allie ; one great great grandchild, Makenzie; two sisters, Mary Psilinakis and Katherine Tsacrios; and a host of nieces and nephews. Working until the age of 88, Mr. Maillis owned and operated a number of food and restaurant businesses. He was committed to his family, known for his generosity and strong work ethic. He was the church Treasurer for 35 years. A gathering for family and friends will be held, Saturday, October 15th at 12 p.m. at St. George Eastern Orthodox Church, 24 N. Rosalind Avenue, with interment immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery.
