Thomas F. Coleman, 88 passed away,
November 24, 2023, at Suncoast Hospice,
surrounded by his wife and their family.
He was born February 23, 1935, in Springfield, MA.,
the son of Thomas Coleman and Adeline Carrow Coleman.
He graduated from High School, Class of 1952.
Following graduation, he served in the United States Air Force.
During his tour in the USAF/Korean War, he married his
high school sweetheart, Delores Whitman.
Tom traveled the world with his beautiful wife.
After his final tour in Turkey and retiring from the USAF
in 1963, Tom decided to settle his family in, St. Petersburg, FL.
After the military Tom attended Eckerd College and Barber School,
where he then then proceeded to buy his own barber shop.
After years of being a barber he sadly retired due to an old back injury.
Tom was out of work for a couple of years until he
became Employed by Valpak.
After 10 years at Valpak, Tom happily retired and decided
to Volunteer with Veterans at Bay Pines Hospital.
Tom and Delores celebrated 68 years of marriage on July 2 nd .
Tom was a Lifetime member of the Elks Lodge 1224 of St. Pete,
and member of the American Legion Post 104,
Disabled American Vets (DAV) and a Volunteer at Bay Pines VA Hospital.
Tom loved going to mass every Sunday and holidays, as well as being a part of
the Knights of Columbus at St. Catherine Of Siena Catholic Church in Largo.
Thomas is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Delores,
along with their 2 sons: Thomas and Steven (Stacey)
and daughters: Donna (deceased) and Christine (Mike) which
reside in Pinellas Park, FL.
Tom has 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren
that he adored and loved very much.
The family will plan Tom's Celebration of Life after the 2023 Holidays.
