Obituary

Theodore "Ted" White, 64, born and raised in the sunshine of Sanford, Florida, left us too soon, departing peacefully at home on January 8, 2024. He attended school at Pinecrest Elementary School, Lake View Middle School, Seminole High School, and Seminole Community College.

His dedication to his family business ran deep, like the roots of his beloved orange groves. Ted poured his soul into his work with the family business, Red Hill Groves, with his brother Ed. The brothers shared a deep love for one another as well as passion for being right, sometimes causing brotherly quarrels. Their hard work provided a long standing Orlando business staple and farm stand that he was proud of, filled with laughter and stories mingling with the aroma of slow-cooked ribs.

His passion for orange groves and barbecue was only surpassed by his love for family. His eyes lit up when surrounded by his loved ones. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy with their pictures proudly displayed like trophies of a life well-lived. He was their unwavering supporter and their biggest confidante.

The echo of his voice on the other end of the phone will be missed most by his friends, family, and his two sons. He made it a daily ritual to call, check in, offer a word of encouragement, share a laugh, or talk sports - more specifically about the Gators. He was never afraid to pick up the phone and call a friend or family member and ask how they are doing, and to talk about the next topic he wanted to understand.

Ted will be remembered for his ability to talk to anyone, never meeting a stranger. His love for family and deep generosity had no limits.

Ted is survived by his fiancé, Allyson Smith; mother, Paulette White; two siblings, Eddie White and Judy Sously; two children, Theodore White, Jr. "TJ" (Leah), Brad (Kelly) White; and three grandchildren Theodore White III "Trace", Harper, and Lincoln
