Theodore Ray Mitchem, 69, of Sanford, Florida went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. He was born on May 29, 1950 in Falls Mills, Virginia to Garnet Mitchem and Stella Mitchem Cooper.

Ted is survived by his spouse Dorothy of 48 years, his two sons Timothy/Brian and Tracy. His four Grandchildren Payton, Mason, Noah, and Skilyn. He was blessed with two brothers (Harold Swim) of Fredericksburg, VA, (Everett Mitchem) of Spotsylvania, VA) a sister (Joann Dillon) of Fredericksburg, VA. He was preceded in death by his Father (Garnet Mitchem), Mother (Stella Mitchem Cooper), Step-Father (Norde Cooper) and two brothers, (Paul Mitchem) and (Jerry Mitchem).

Ted was the owner of Ted's Auto Repair in Sanford, Florida for 30 years. He lived in Seminole County for 38 years.

He enjoyed spending time with family and his many friends. He was vice president of The Celery City Cruisers Car Club. He enjoyed Dining out with friends, Road Trips, Racing, Motorcycles, Fishing, and taking long walks on the beach.
