On the morning of March 8th, 2020, Teresita Gonzalez, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went home to heaven. Affectionately known by her family and all who knew her as Aba, she passed away peacefully in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Aba is remembered for her love and unrelenting devotion to her family. Regarded as the family's matriarch, Aba's influence spanned 5 generations, leaving an undeniable legacy. Born in Havana, Cuba on July 30, 1930, Aba was the daughter of an Accountant and homemaker, who grew up with her brother, together forming a love for Baseball. In 1953, she married the love of her life, Adolfo Gonzalez, together raising their daughter Maritery. In 1961 they fled Cuba, settling in Miami to begin a new life in the U.S that would span 59 years.

After the passing of her husband in 1983, Aba devoted the next 21 years to raising her grandson Jose. Known for her joyful presence and magnetic personality, Aba was the light of every setting, drawing everyone towards her. A woman who embodied elegance and grace, she was also known for being anchored in her faith.

Aba is survived by her daughter Maritery and her husband Tino, her grandson Jose and his wife Elaine, and her six great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley, Jacob, Michael, Emma, and Kylie.
