Teodoro Gamboa passed away peacefully on July 15, 2017. He was born in Huanta, Peru on November 14, 1924 to Vitervo Gamboa and Valentina Vilchez. Teodoro married his beloved wife Yolanda and they lived in Peru until 1988, when they immigrated to the USA. Before he retired, he was a police officer and coffee entrepreneur. Teodoro's life revolved around his work and his family. Upon retirement he liked gardening and was especially fond of roses and grapes. He was a prolific reader of political and other types of literature. He read numerous newspapers daily and enjoyed discussing the topics of the day. He also enjoyed watching the news and sports on TV. Teodoro loved soccer and he played for a team named "Huracan." He also liked swimming and in his younger years he used to say "en cuerpo sano mente sana." Later in life he liked to walk with this dog Duke and this was his main form of exercise for the past twenty years. Teodoro was a disciplined, energetic, generous and loving father. He was very proud of his children.
Teodoro is survived by his wife Rosa Yolanda Gonzalez, 9 children: Freddy, Mabel, Gilda, Juan, Maricela, Jose, Rina, Alberto, Elvira. 21 grandchildren: Cesar, Aida, Cristobal, Andrea, Giovanni, Rina, Juan Jose, Mayle, Ruth, Deborah, Evelyn, Genesis, Josue, Erica, Anthony, Alexander, Frank, Paul, Ivan, Aron, Jade. 5 great-grandchildren: Ezinia, Malakie, Gabriel, Alejandra, Katia. Teodoro was living the last years of his life with his loving daughter Gloria Mabel during which they bonded together. He was extremely proud of her. We are going to miss him a lot.
