Captain Teodoro "Teddy" Durohom of Windermere, Florida, passed away peacefully at
home on Thursday, May 14, 2026. He was 95 years old. Teodoro was born on May 20,
1930 in Dalaguete, Cebu, Philippines. He is the son of Pascual Durohom and Basilina
Vergara. Teodoro entered a maritime career and worked as a harbor pilot for over 30+
years. He then retired in Burke, Virginia, and worked part-time at Sunrise Living Nursing
Home. In May 2005, Teodoro and Trinidad relocated to Windermere, Florida.

Teodoro was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and devout Catholic. He
was a good provider, generous, and a proud man who lived and endured his simple life.
He taught us independence and perseverance.

He is survived by his 3 sons, Manuel V. Durohom of Arlington, VA, Antonio V. Durohom,
spouse of Mary Grace of Orlando, FL, Irvin V. Durohom, spouse of Ivonne of Potomac
Falls, VA; 2 daughters, Larrina D. Sygengco, spouse of Noel Sygengco, and Melissa D.
Huang, spouse of Stephen Huang of Herndon, VA; and 4 grandchildren, Camille D.
Sygengco, Marian Durohom, Cassidy, and Tyler Huang; and pet dogs, Barkley, Thor,
and Kala.

Visitation on Wednesday, May 20th, from 5-8 PM, with a prayer service from 6-7
PM at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 1400 Matthew Paris Blvd, Ocoee, FL 34761.
Funeral mass at 11 AM on Thursday, May 21 st at Holy Family Catholic Church- chapel
area, 5125 S. Apopka Vineland Rd. Orland, FL 32819. Burial to follow at Winter Garden
Cemetery.
