Silvia Denise Barnes, born on February 22, 1961, was the third youngest of eleven children, growing up as part of a large and deeply connected family. From an early age, Silvia carried with her a bright spirit-one fueled by laughter, shaped by togetherness, and nourished by her deep appreciation for good food and the joy it brought to those around her.
She was educated in the Dade County Public School system, where she formed lifelong friendship and built the foundation for the warm, generous woman she would become. Silvia's greatest passion was family. Whether she was sharing a meal, telling a story, or filling a room with her unmistakable laughter, she had a way of making everyone feel at home.
Silvia is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Gentry, her cherished son, Jake, as well as three brothers and four sisters, all of whom continue to honor her memory and the love she poured into their lives.
Her legacy lives on in every laugh shared, every meal enjoyed, and every moment spent with the ones she held dear.
