Suzanne Lande Goldstein, 85 of Longwood, Florida, formerly of Valley Stream, Queens, Bronx, and Brooklyn, New York, has gone on to her new home on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. The day dedicated to love where hearts abound, will serve not as a day of sadness, but rather as a statement that we remain in each others hearts and to carry on in our love and thoughtful gestures for each other. Suzanne is survived by her loving family; son, Russell Schreibman (Angela) daughter Stacey (Smith) grandchildren Lindsay, Stephen, Samantha, Jake and her great-grandchildren Nathan, Ayla and Autumn.
Suzanne, Suzie to some, Nana to many, was an amazing, talented, artistic woman who was dedicated, tenacious, loving and filled any room with laughter. Her favorite expressions, "Whateva!" and sage advise, "Ya neva know?!" each said with her ever present accent, will propel her loved ones on through good times and trying ones and keep her with us. She created beautiful paintings, drawings and "Craaaafts" and if you were lucky enough to be given one of her signature crocheted afghans, you knew you were extra special. Her purposeful mispronunciation for "decorating" "decacarating", made us laugh as we embrace its continued use. If she could remove your hurt, she would with a sweep of her hand and a "what are you worried about that for?" She could allay as many concerns as there were.
A life lived fully is defined differently for people. Perhaps she didn't get to see or do all that her heart desired. She devoted herself to her family above all else. Some consider financial accomplishments, others status. For those of us who spent anytime with this remarkable woman we knew she indeed lived a full and beautiful life. She was a "Giva"! She was a survivor on many fronts; the deaths of her beloved husbands, Danny, Sol and Shelly, her beautiful younger sister, Risselle, her devoted parents, Libby and Al and her lifelong friend Diane to list a few. She spent time with Albert Einstein as a child yet it paled in comparison to the joy she felt being with her family and watching her grandchildren graduate, perform and play. She was the voice of reason, the omnipresent ear and shoulder when her children, grandchildren and their friends needed her. It is hard to imagine life without her and while she is not here in the physical; her lessons and love have deeply impacted all of us. We have learned so very much from her and have been truly blessed that she was with us as long as she was. She could have left sooner, she certainly had cause; a crippling car accident and debilitating cancer did not take her down. Not her! We will love and miss her forever but know she is dancing all the dances she once did with the biggest smile on her gorgeous face. We love and miss you...till we meet again ❤️
