Obituary

Suzanne (McGhee) DeLoach passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. She was born March 25, 1943, in Edison, GA, to William and Laurine (Brooks) McGhee.

Suzanne, along with her identical twin, Sandra, and younger brother, Bob, grew up as Air Force "brats," living in Alabama, Texas, Michigan, and the Azores, where she graduated from Lajes High School on Terceira Island. Despite living all over the place, she stayed true to her southern roots. She attended Georgia Southern University, earning a degree in business, and worked in the insurance industry for most of her career.

She led a full life, enjoying her family and friends. She and her husband of 30 years, Frank, were active members of the Beach Boppers of Orlando and enjoyed dancing and going on cruises with the many friends they made there. She also loved reading and animals, especially her Yorkie mix, Gigi. She will be sorely missed by those who loved her.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sandra M. Davila-Ricci, and brother, Robert L. McGhee. She is survived by her husband, Frank Umont of Fern Park, FL; daughters, Terri DeLoach Gillett of Atlanta, GA, Tara DeLoach Hale (Doug) of Greensboro, NC; two grandchildren, Audrey Page and Jackson Gillett; nieces, Kristy Damon of Winter Springs, FL and Kathryn Higdon (Glen) of Cary, NC, and their children, Jake, Kaia, Jonah, and Sophia; along with many cousins. Per her request, there will be no formal service. Instead of flowers, please consider a donation to the Seminole County Humane Society. https://www.seminolecountyfl.gov/departments-services/prepare-seminole/animal-services/donations
