Susan M. (Holloman) Shimek, 74, of Filbert, Pa. passed away
quietly at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital on September 4th , 2023.
Susan was born on August 25th, 1949 at Brownsville Hospital. The daughter of
William (Gabby) Holloman and Helen Anne (Galica) Holloman
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Karen Marie Holloman(sister), Donna Lee Holloman (sister), William
(Lump) Holloman (brother), David (Cuddy) Holloman (brother).
Susan was an avid fan of her hometown teams, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Susan is survived by her brothers, John Galica (Judie), Richard Holloman and partner Tom West, sisters, Patty Taylor (Ron), Barb Angelo (Vincent), and Elizabeth Kuhn (Chuck). Susan was a wonderful single mother of 3 loving children: Dennis Kisner, Ed Kisner (Heather), and Alicia Beth Shimek (Burl). Susan had 4 grandchildren, multiple nieces, and nephews, one great-grandchild, and expecting her second one in December.
Arrangements are under the direction of the DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory, Dolfi Chapel, 65 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, PA, Stacey A. Dolfi, FD and are private.
