Susan Trees Juliano died unexpectedly on Tuesday May 28th in Orlando FL at the age of 76.

She was born on June 3, 1947, in New Kensington PA to Howard and Wilma Jean (Singer) Trees.

She met her eventual husband, James Frank Juliano, in high school when they were planning to double date to prom (by the time prom came around, they ditched their dates and went together). Sue and Jim dated throughout high school and college, both attending colleges in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from New Kensington High School in 1965 and from Chatham College in 1969. Sue and Jim were married on June 28, 1969, and moved to Utica, NY.

Sue worked as a computer programmer at Utica Mutual Insurance until she had kids. She then worked at Hamilton College Library until the family moved to Orlando in 1994.

Sue and Jim traveled extensively after Jim's retirement in 2009, enjoying long cruises and European tours. They also made many trips to the Northeast to visit their out of state children and grandchildren. Sue was the navigator and copilot on their road trips, both to the delight and dismay of Jim. She loved waking up early on Saturdays and Sundays to watch Premier League Soccer and European Rugby. Sue was an extreme polymath, studying German and Spanish in college, acing organic chemistry, and working as a programmer. She loved books, English history, and books about English history.

Susan Trees Juliano was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Juliano, and her parents, Howard, and Jean Trees. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Chadwick (Thomas) of Vermont; sons, Mark Juliano of Connecticut, and Matthew Juliano (Eliza) of Orlando; four beloved grandchildren, Julia and Emma Chadwick, Alec Juliano and Nathan Juliano; and, her brother, Howard Trees of Garberville, CA.
