Sue "Amy" Devone was a caring mother, sister and friend. She gained her wings on June 27, 2022 surrounded by her daughters Carrie Devone and Rori Devone-Saunders.
Amy was born to Robert "Bob" and Nettie Berger on January 17, 1945 in Bronx, New York. After graduating from high school, Amy worked as a Candy Striper at a local hospital in New York City, New York where she met her husband Colon Lee Devone. The two moved to Detroit, Mi. Amy instantly became a mother of two boys Jeffrey Robert and Gregory Lee. And soon after they had two children: Carrie Lynn and Rori Allison.
Shortly after arriving in Detroit, Amy began her career at Sinai Hospital until her passion for children inspired her to change direction. Amy founded the organization K.I.N.D. (Kids In Need of Direction). Amy's passion was working with children and helping them find their path into adulthood.
A private Celebration of Life is scheduled for August 6, 2022
