Sue Ann "Susan" (Bidelman) Brownell, born August 15, 1935, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 16, 2019, after an extended illness.

Susan was born in the beautiful town of Marshall, Michigan, to Charles and Ignota Bidelman. Though there were many moves throughout the years, Susan always called Marshall her true home. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Bruce (Skip) Bidelman, as well as, her late husbands John J. Gruse and Donald Brownell.

Susan was enthusiastic Notre Dame football fan. On Saturdays during football season, you could always find her touting her well worn Notre Dame t-shirt, ready to cheer her fighting Irish to victory. It was a love she shared with her daughters, Linda and Michele. During the last year, Susan was strengthened by her faith and the certainty that soon she would be joyfully reunited with her family in heaven. She leaves behind four daughters, Diane Westbrook and her husband Doug of Oak Island, NC , Debbie Dixon and her husband Randy of Winter Springs, FL, Linda Gruszynski of Longwood, FL; Michele McCullough and her husband Tim, also of Longwood, FL. She was also blessed with five grandchildren: Danielle Crowder, Shawna Owen, Doug Westbrook Jr., Hannah and Reese McCullough, as well as, eight great-grandchildren, Brayden, Keller, Sullivan and Locklyn Crowder, Lennon and Rivers Owen, Dane and Channing Westbrook. Sue also leaves behind innumerable close friends, all of whom she adored and who cherished her in return.

In her final years, Susan was deeply grateful to Jena Pearl for the love and care she shared which allowed her to remain in her home with her family.

Susan was an active parishioner of the church she loved, Annunciation Catholic Church, in Altamonte Springs, Fl.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Sue at 9:30am on Friday, November 8th at her home parish, Annunciation Catholic Church 1020 Montgomery Rd. Altamonte Springs, FL 32714
