Dr. Stephen Cornelious Vogt, beloved husband, father, and "Papa" died on April 19, 2022. He was 68 years old.

Stephen was born to Bertie and Paul Vogt in Lenoir, NC on June 13, 1953. Growing up in Orlando, he received his BSPharm from Florida A&M University in 1976. He began his career at Florida Hospital where he met a beautiful nurse, Darcy Spalding. They were married in 1981. He completed his PharmD from Mercer University in 1982 and returned to Orlando to pioneer the metabolic support and home infusion program at Florida Hospital. Dr. Vogt was a results driven visionary and entrepreneur in pharmaceutical care-- building InfusionCare/Avon Healthcare, ProHealth, multiple home infusion companies, and BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy.

To sum up his mission in life—"enriching lives." Stephen wrote these words looking back on his life, "Blessed is the man who gets the opportunity to devote his life to something bigger than himself and who finds himself surrounded by friends who share his passion. In this way, I am disproportionately blessed."

He was a big game hunter and fisherman; a gamekeeper and land steward; an author and speaker; a pilot; a trusted friend and voice of wisdom; a values-driven leader. He was a loving husband, father, and special Papa. Above all, he was a follower of Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife Darcy, his mother Bertie, his brother Michael, his sons Joshua, Caleb, and Jordan, and his grandchildren Annabelle, Mark, Nora, Fletcher, Levi, and Cadence.

Stephen died surrounded by family after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the nonprofit One World Health ( https://bit.ly/docvogt ).

A viewing will be held Thursday, April 21st at 7:00-8:30pm at DeGusipe funeral home in Maitland with a celebration of life service to be hosted on Friday, April 22nd at 11:00am at First Baptist Orlando in Henry Chapel, 3000 S John Young Pkwy in Orlando.

He lived by these words--"No regrets from decisions, No guilt in life, No fear in death, this is the power of Christ in me."
