Stephen Brent Reffner passed away at home with his wife by his side on November 28, 2016. He was born in Altoona, PA on August 30, 1947, to Glenn and Maxine Reffner.

Steve served in the Marine Corps for 12 years during the Vietnam Era. He relocated to Florida and worked as a Master Mechanic at Mears Transportation. He was a friend of Bill W. for over 32 years which gave him a passion for helping others.

He was predeceased by his Mother and Father, as well as his Niece Gale. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia "Patt" Russell Reffner; his Son, Stephen Reffner and Daughter-in-law Darcy; his Daughter, Stephanie Reffner Miear; his Step Sons Michael Curry Russell and Miles Randolph Russell; 10 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; his Sister, Linda Noonan and Brother-in-law Kenny; his Sister, Gale Alles and Brother-in-law Richard; his Brother Glenn Reffner and Sister-in-law Sheila; 2 Nieces and 7 Great Nieces and Nephews.

Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at 2pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 9001 N. Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to either Shands Heart and Kidney Foundation in Gainesville, FL, or Wounded Warriors Project.
