Stephen P "Steve" Coleman, 76, of Longwood, FL, died peacefully after an extended illness on August 26, 2024 at Advent Health Hospice House in Altamonte Springs, FL. Steve married his wife, Joyce, in 1966 and they were married for 58 years. Steve spent many years in the US Air Force, first stationed at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS and then at Bergstrom AFB in Austin, TX. After leaving the Air Force, he and his family moved to Central Florida where he worked in the copier industry with IKON and EGP until he retired. As a younger man, Steve loved to participate in all sports, especially softball and tennis. He was a runner, and he walked 4 miles/day for many years. He was also an avid golfer, playing with his regular foursome on the courses of Seminole and Volusia counties in Central Florida for over 25 years. He absolutely loved being a grandpa and he spent as much time as possible with his granddaughters. Steve was a member of Nativity Catholic Church in Longwood, FL.
Steve is survived by his wife, Joyce, daughters Marla (Steve) Kerr and Suzanne (Ken) Brown, his sisters Nancy (Ray) Romanos and Sally (Dave) Hiltz, his sister-in-law Maureen Coleman, brothers-in-law Pete (Mary Ann) Shields and John (Kim) Shields. Steve also leaves behind his beloved granddaughters Courtney (Josh Stewart) Kerr, Cameron Kerr and Caitlyn Brown, as well as many nieces and nephews that he loved immensely.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Ann Coleman, his brother Timothy Coleman, brother-in-law Hank Gallagher and sister-in-law Marilyn Gallagher.
Services for Steve will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Nativity Catholic Church in Longwood, FL.
