Stephen J. Hacker passed away peacefully on February 13, 2020 at his home in Central Florida. He was 80 years old. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy, and his 5 children. Katherine Hacker Kinchla, Scott J. Hacker, Jeffrey S. Hacker (Shannon), Jayne Hacker Barnes (Brent), MaryAnne Hacker Branner (Patrick). He was adored and loved by his eight grandchildren, Brandt (Erin), Ryan (Jessica), Matt Hacker, Stephanie, Cole, Jack Kinchla, Nicholle and Natalie Branner: and two great grandchildren Smith and Margot Hacker. Born and raised in Ohio, he received a B. S. in Business at Xavier University. He had a successful career as an entrepreneur in the Oil and Gas industry and founded multiple companies. Steve traveled the world for both business and pleasure. In 1975 he relocated the family from Cincinnati, Ohio to Orlando, Florida. He enjoyed outdoor hobbies of deep-sea fishing, boating, and golf. Steve was an avid owner of thoroughbred horses, and was awarded numerous trophies in the winner's circle throughout the U.S.A. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever emulate his way of life, wisdom, and strong values that he exhibited as a husband, father, and grandfather.
His legacy will live on for all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial Mass, which will be held on February 27,2020 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Magdalen, 861 Maitland Avenue, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701.
