Stanley Carl Ziomek

It is with great sadness that the Ziomek family announces the death of Stanley Carl Ziomek. He passed on October 15, 2021, surrounded by his wife and daughter.

Stanley was born in Highland Park, Michigan on February 21, 1940. Stan was the eldest son of Stanley Carl Ziomek, Sr. and Jane Valley Ziomek.

Stan graduated from Hamtramck High School, and helped support his family after his father's passing until he enlisted in the United State Army in 1963, and was honorably discharge in 1965. While in the Army he earned Badges for Carbine and Rifle Marksmanship, he led the Army Basketball team to win the Championship in October of 1964 and received a Good Conduct Medal.

Stan completed his apprenticeship as a Millwright in 1969, and moved to Orlando, Florida in 1971. Stan secured and pursued a 30-year career with Walt Disney World as an Engineering Manager at Epcot Center. Among his numerous awards and accomplishments, he received, he was extremely proud of receiving the Partners of Excellence award. Stan retired from Disney in 2011.

Stan could accomplish anything he set his mind to do, fix anything and had the patience of a saint.

Every chance he could, he took his family, with him to Walt Disney World to enjoy the magic of the parks. He was so proud to be a part of the Walt Disney World Family, and gave his daughter Sherri an appreciation for finding the joy in life. Stan and Sherri enjoyed spending time together, learning how to fix various things, doing yard work, going to sporting events and watching TV.

Stan loved life, adored his wife, enjoyed being with family and friends, cross word puzzles, site seeing, traveling. vacationing, eating SWEETS, and tinkering around. He was always there to lend a helping hand with patience and kindness.

Stan will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
