Obituary

Stanley Skura of St. Petersburg was called home on January 12, 2017 following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Nancy and brother of Helen Sterling of San Diego, CA.

Born in Jersey City, NJ in 1950, Stan grew up in Kearny, NJ. He had been a long haul truck driver, a diesel mechanic, a machinist and a CNC operator.

An Air Force veteran, Stan was a long time resident of St. Petersburg and a talented woodworker who loved sailing, history and trains. He was a member of Calvary Chapel St. Petersburg.

In addition to his wife and sister, he is survived by his loving family Jeff Sears of Pinellas Park, Dan Sears of Largo, Jessica Carroll of Largo, eight grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at Calvary Chapel, 8900 US Hwy 19 N, Pinellas Park, 33782 on Feb. 6 at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Samaritans Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or online at samaritanspurse.org.
